The project was a specialized engineering undertaking focused on the design and assessment of an existing building to prepare it for the installation of new internal steel floors. The scope was meticulously defined to include the design of three distinct composite steel structures, each corresponding to a different floor level. A critical aspect of this work was ensuring the flawless and seamless integration of these new steel frameworks with the main building's existing reinforced concrete (RC) system. This required a deep understanding of the building's original design, a thorough analysis of its load-bearing capacity, and a precise execution plan to merge the old and new structural components without compromising the overall stability or safety of the entire structure. The project served as a prime example of how modern structural solutions can be carefully introduced into existing frameworks to repurpose spaces and enhance functionality.
